RESUMEN
In the research entitled: “The use of the Communicative Approach with the help of
the Total Physical Response (TPR) in the development of the Oral Expression of the English
language in the students of the Educational Institution No. 20188 Centro de Mujeres de la
Provincia de Cañete. Its objective is to demonstrate the influence of the use of the
Communicative Approach with the help of the Total Physical Response (TPR) for the
development of Oral Expression of the English language in the students of the Educational
Institution No. 20188 Centro de Mujeres de la Provincia de Cañete
The quasi-experimental design was used to carry out the study, with a control group
and an application with pre-test and post-test. The sample was made up of 58 students of the
third grade of Regular Basic Education; 20 students from the second «b» who make up the
control group and 29 students from the third «d» who make up the experimental group,
whose data collection instrument was a questionnaire.
It was concluded that the use of the Communicative Approach with the help of the
TPR significantly improved the oral expression of the English language, as shown by the
results obtained in the pre-test in the application group, which obtained a score of 9.21 and
the control group obtained an average score of 8.07 and in the post-test they obtained an
average score of 9.48 and the application group obtained an average score of 15.00,
evidencing a significant development of increase in an average of 5.79 of difference and in
the control group a minimum difference of 0.59 on average.
